MEET THE TEAMThe MPS Foundation is part of The Medical Protection Society Limited (MPS), the world’s leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals with 130 years of global healthcare experience and expertise.
We’re proud to be global and take pride in our commitment to funding research in different organisations, professions, and countries. Patient safety is vital, but research is limited. We aim to change that.
We recognise that newly qualified dentists, doctors, and healthcare professionals are the future of the healthcare community. Our goal is to empower them to deliver improved care for their patients while enhancing their own wellbeing. We recognise the significance of research and continuous improvement, and we are helping to foster these efforts through the creation of research competitions.

Founded in 1892, we exist to protect and support the professional interests of more than 300,000 members around the world.
We support members in the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
Our philosophy is to support safe practice in medicine and dentistry by helping to prevent problems in the first place.
We do this by proactively promoting risk management to our members and the professions as a whole, and actively campaigning for regulatory and legal reforms.
